At this August’s St. Jude Invitational, 30-year-old golf pro Abraham Ancer brought home his first PGA tour win and is now at 6 top-5 placements this season. This win moved Ancer to 11th in the Official World Golf Ranking and 12th in the FedEx Cup standings.
To secure his win, Ancer hit his approach from 148 yards to set up his winning putt at 6 feet, 1 inch. It was a big win for Ancer, who said afterwards “This means the world to me. This was my dream since I was 10 years old, to win on the PGA tour.”

Not only is Ancer having a great season of golf this year, he’s also given his fans some insight into why his favorite ball to play with is the Titleist Pro V1. Ancer had this to say about his ball of choice: “I’ve done quite a bit of testing and I’m just sold. The ball performs in every aspect of the game. Around the greens, it feels the way it should feel—soft, you can put a lot of spin on it. And then on the longer irons, the spin rates for me are perfect. I can’t find that anywhere else. The window the ball takes off of the club—I hit it, I don’t even have to look for it. I know exactly where it’s going to be. And that, for me, it’s huge. Consistency, especially in professional golf, your ball has to perform and be consistent.”
