A new ultra-exclusive golf club, Shell Bay Club in Hallandale Beach, South Florida, just opened its doors to members who are willing to pay a whopping one-million-dollar fee. While the average golfer is not going to be able to join, it’s got a lot of people interested in finding out more about the club and exactly what makes it worth the large membership fee. Here’s the scoop on what a million-dollar golf club has to offer.
Golf Course Designed by LIV CEO
The course is designed by Greg Norman, retired pro golfer and CEO of the LIV Golf league. Norman described the new golf course in a recent press release, saying:
“The course at Shell Bay will be one of the most unique, pure golf experiences I have ever designed… Completely isolated from its surroundings, the walkable layout will capture the true essence of the game with immaculately conditioned fairways, sweeping sandbelt-style bunkers and contoured greens that test every club in your bag. It will be a place where you can totally immerse yourself in the game.”
That sounds pretty good to us.
The course at Shell Bay is 7,254 yards long, alongside a 20,000 square-foot clubhouse for players to relax in before and after a round of golf.
Shell Bay’s Luxury Amenities
The golf club comes fully equipped with plenty of great amenities, including a world-class caddy program, a 12-acre practice facility, a wellness spa, basketball court, and no tee times. Not only that, but membership to the golf club also includes access to the Shell Bay Yacht Club and Racquet Club.
And for folks who just can’t get enough of Shell Bay, there are even residences on the premises, overlooking the golf course. These feature both penthouse and condominium-style units, all of which have on-hand butler service.
So, maybe having a membership at Shell Bay is not realistic for most of us amateur golfers, but we can at least dream about it! And, hey, with the great deals on gently used golf balls at Golf Ball Planet, maybe you can save up that million for the membership.
